  • Our Legacies…

What is the legacy you want to leave behind?

I never thought too much on legacies, but I mostly focus on how people remember me.

I hope they remember me as someone who, at some point, made their life a bit easier, or at least not more difficult!

I hope they didn’t get hurt because of me, unintentionally.

I hope they found it easy to talk and share their stories with me.

And when they shared, I hope they felt seen, heard, understood and not judged.

Maybe that’s what human legacies really mean—being there for each other, and not being there when someone needs space.

    Understanding and being understood.

    Accepting and being accepted.

    Loving and being loved.

And maybe these things will help us heal each other and ourselves.

    Maybe that is our legacy.

  • Bones And Hearts!

Have you ever broken a bone?

I remember, it was 2002 and my birthday. I was excited for the party, had invited all my friends. I used to go from a bicycle. So on that particular day, there was a traffic jam and I got stuck on my way back from school. Then it happened, within the traffic jam, a manual loaded trolley, on my left foot!

People helped me around. Dad came, someone asked for his number and called. Thanks to that guy! Dad took me for treatment. Since I was an active, athletic, growing kid, I didn’t break any bones. But there were multiple fractures around my ankle and below the knee!

Though it did break my heart. All the kids in my birthday party were enjoying, and there I was—sitting with a fractured leg! Had the cake, and it was gooooood!

    Most memorable birthday ever!

Anyway, years later as I look back now, hearts seem more delicate than bones. Try not to break one, and have some Vitamin D for the bones of course!

  • Sacrifices are investments, in interest of the right people!

What sacrifices have you made in life?

I don’t think, things done for peace, prosperity, love, friendship and happiness of people around us are sacrifices.

They’re investments in life, relationships, mindfulness that make us more empathetic and compassionate towards not just our people, but the world in general.

That’s why selfish people will not think for the good of the general population, but people who know empathy and compassion will.

So I have not made any sacrifices in life but investments in order to attain the true meaning and purpose of my life.
